Terms of Use
Last updated 30 August 2026.
These terms describe what ZeroSugar.ai offers, what it does not, and the basis on which you use it. They are written to describe how the site actually works rather than to cover every situation in the abstract, and they will be updated when the site changes. Using the site means you accept them.
The short version
ZeroSugar.ai is a reference site about sweeteners and sugar reduction. Reading it is free, there are no accounts, and we do not take payments. The information here is educational — it is not medical, dietary, legal, or regulatory advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional who knows your situation. Most of the tools described on the homepage are not built yet, and we label which is which.
What this site is
We publish researched guides and comparisons about sweeteners: how they behave in cooking, how they are metabolised, how they are regulated, and what the published evidence does and does not show. Every factual claim in a sweetener record is meant to carry a citation to a primary source and the date we last checked it.
What this site is not
It is not medical or dietary advice. Nothing here diagnoses a condition, recommends a treatment, or tells you what you personally should eat. Sweetener tolerance, glycemic response, and cardiovascular risk vary enormously between people, and several of the topics we cover are genuinely unsettled in the literature. If you are managing diabetes, are pregnant, take medication, or have a condition affected by what you eat, talk to a clinician or a registered dietitian before acting on anything you read here.
It is also not regulatory or formulation advice. Our summaries of rules such as US nutrition-labelling requirements or EU additive approvals are plain-language descriptions of what those documents say, written to help you find the relevant provision. They are not legal opinions, they can be out of date, and they are not a substitute for reading the regulation or retaining someone qualified. If you are formulating or labelling a commercial product, verify against the primary source and take professional advice — the responsibility for a compliant label is yours.
Using this site does not create a doctor-patient, dietitian-client, attorney-client, or consulting relationship of any kind.
What is actually available today
The homepage describes a platform of tools. Most of them do not exist yet. Because it would be easy to read that section as a product list, each tool carries a status label, and this is what those labels mean:
- Available Now — built, live, and usable today. As of the date at the top of this page, the sweetener guides and comparisons are the only thing carrying this label, and they are the only functioning part of the site.
- In Development and Framework in Development — being worked on, with no release date and no commitment that it will ship in any particular form, or at all.
- Coming Soon — planned, but not yet being built. Treat this as a statement of intent, not a schedule.
Anything not labelled Available Now is unbuilt. It has no functionality you can use, no accuracy you can rely on, and no committed delivery date. Descriptions of planned tools are descriptions of what we intend to build; they are not promises, specifications, or the basis for any decision on your part. If a described capability matters to you, wait until it exists.
Signing up for early access does not reserve a place, create an entitlement to any tool, or oblige us to build anything.
Accuracy, sources, and dates
We try hard to get the facts right, to cite primary sources rather than secondary reporting, and to record when each figure was last checked. We still expect to be wrong sometimes. Nutrition science moves, regulations are amended, and manufacturers reformulate products without notice.
So: the site is provided as-is. We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, or current, and we do not promise it will stay available or unchanged. Where we cite a source, the source governs — if our summary and the regulation or paper disagree, believe the original and please tell us.
If you spot an error, email us. We would rather fix it than defend it.
Early access
You can give us an email address to hear when tools go live. That is voluntary, it costs nothing, and every message we send has a one-click unsubscribe. What we do with that address is set out in our Privacy Policy. We may end the early-access programme, change what it covers, or delete the list at any time.
Content and reuse
The text, design, code, and structure of this site belong to us. You are welcome to read it, quote it with attribution and a link, share links to it, and use what you learn. You may not republish substantial portions of it as your own, sell it, or scrape it in bulk to build a competing dataset or to train a model, without our written permission.
Regulatory texts, published studies, and other primary sources we cite belong to their own authors and publishers and carry their own terms. Our citation of a source is not a licence to it.
Commercial interests
We are not a neutral observer of this market. The operator of this site also sells sweetener products, and at present that includes erythritol-based products. Where a page covers something we sell, we say so on that page.
We handle that the only way we think works: every substantive claim is cited to a primary source with the date we last checked it, including the claims that are inconvenient for us. Our erythritol coverage reports the published cardiovascular findings and the criticism of those findings, and we will not remove or soften a sourced result because it is bad for a product we sell. If you ever find that we have, tell us — that is a failure of the whole premise of this site, not a difference of opinion.
We do not currently run advertising, affiliate links, or sponsored content. If that changes, it will be disclosed here and on the pages concerned.
Links and third parties
We link out constantly, because citing sources is the point. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data, and a link is not an endorsement. Some third-party services help deliver this site; those are described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Please do not attack the site, attempt to gain access to systems or data you are not entitled to, scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people, or use it to break the law. We may block access if you do.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published here — including decisions about diet, health, purchasing, product formulation, or labelling. This is a free reference site with no accounts and no payments; it is not a professional service and it is not insured as one.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes
When these terms change we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. If a change is significant we will say so rather than relying on you noticing.
